Working with USP International Office is an exciting, interesting and yet a challenging experience that I look forward to. I was always passionate about working with diverse group and environment which is culture rich and also a place where I can meet and greet people/students from different cultural backgrounds/countries. My search for such a place stopped upon joining International Office. Therefore, I believe, I indeed have a golden opportunity to be able to blend in such an environment. Also, it’s simply superlative to work with a student friendly department, which is not only student concerned but also student focused.
I graduated from The University of the South Pacific with Bachelor of Arts in Management & Public Administration and Information Systems and Post Graduate Diploma in Information Systems. I worked as an intern with USP’s Information Technology Services department for 3 years and before joining International Office as International Mobility Officer, I spent 3 years working with Confucius Institute at USP as a Secretary.
Few words for the International students, the remarkable Fijian smile and style awaits for you. Come, experience, explore and enjoy the Fijian culture, beautiful beaches and tropical weather right here with The University of the South Pacific. For sure you will be returning to your homes with a “bula” smile.

First of all I would like acknowledge all the people who have helped through this journey to get where I am today and motivated me to follow my dreams. It is indeed an honor to be part of this brilliant USP International Office team.
Working at the international office is an opportunity to experience cultural environment where I am able to live out my passion especially through providing excellence student learning and support services.
My career at USP started as a Customer Relations Officer at USP – Lautoka Campus in 2013 in which I come with over 16 years of Customer Service and Front Office Management experiences. I am privileged enough to join The USP International Office as an International Customer Relations Assistant. Currently I am pursing studies under the following program Professional Diploma in Business Management (Pacific TAFE) and then intend to complete end of this year in which I plan to pursue further studies.
Also as a student at The University of the South Pacific, it is a wonderful opportunity to pursue your dreams professionally. The people here are so friendly and approachable. Going to study abroad or just traveling away from home can be very exciting! This is place is where you want to be and study where memories are made and friendships last for a lifetime.

It has indeed been a privilege to be part of the USP international office where I get first hand to meet students from across the world. The fascinating thing about cultural diversity is that each student brings with them a different story of their journey to Fiji. This is one of the highlights of my rich work experience so far in meeting students from all walks of life and enjoying the melting pot experience at The University of the South Pacific. A place where relationship matters and where community and kinship is fostered.
As a alumina of USP my qualifications are a Bachelors of Commerce in Tourism and Industrial Relations, and I currently intend to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Management. I started my career as a part time student working and trying to make ends meet with my family. My career at USP started as a student assistant at the Student Administrative Services for four years in which I was fortunate enough to join the School of Tourism and Hospitality as a permanent staff for a year. I later followed my passion and became part of the vibrant team at the International office at USP.
The South Pacific’s tropical paradise is where you would want to be. Not only do we have the warmest seas, clear blue skies and white sands with swaying palm trees, we still have people who care enough to stop and have a chat with you and invite you to their homes because they still do care.
USP with its rich cultural diversity awaits you. Definitely the University of the South Pacific is your University!

Being part of the International Office is truly a gratifying experience. To be able to communicate with students from all over the globe, to be in a position to not only assist in the education process for international students, but to help students feel at home in a foreign country is truly rewarding.
I graduated from The University of the South Pacific with a Bachelor of Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Policy and Public Administration. I have worked as a marketing intern with the Development Marketing Communication and Alumni Office at USP for 3 years. I then took up the post of Conference Planner at the Research Office for another 3 years before moving across to the International Office as the Project Officer EU scholarship.
My passion is in student services and I believe this position has given me exactly that. I have no hesitation in recommending USP to any international student. With the close knit community and the general friendly atmosphere, the Pacific smile is sure to make you feel right at home.
