USP International office was the recipient of the Best Support Service Display booth during the 2017 Open Day programme earlier this semester.
USP Open Day is an annual event which welcomes prospective students to come and meet with faculty and support services and explore what USP has to offer. During the event USP campuses are visited by numerous high school students and workers who wish to resume studies or further their education.
This is the first time for USP International Office to win the award and this has been a result of team effort from staff, student volunteers and assistance from the Embassy of Japan.
According to the Student Mobility Officer, Ms. Archana Priyadarshani, the USP Open day is an excellent opportunity for the International Office to market and promote various international schemes and projects that the office coordinates, providing with travel opportunities to USP students to experience an international learning perspective. The USP exchange programme is the highlight of the office and thus the information is vastly disseminated to the USP students and visiting school students. The exchange alumni also participated in the USP Open Day 2017 to market and promote the USP exchange programme and share their exchange experience with other students. The International Office booth at the USP Open Day attracted hundreds of students generating interest to benefit from the USP exchange programme and giving yet another reason to high school students to apply to study with the university.
USP International is the first point of contact for incoming International students and outgoing exchange students from USP. We also provides support services to both incoming and outgoing students towards visa, immigration, student experience and cultural experience.
